Google, Mozilla and Opera met in a PDF reader

We now offer a little curiosity to our readers.firefox-opera-chrome As you know, the PDF.js add-on was activated in Firefox 19. The browser uses this JavaScript file to map the PDF files to be displayed as HTML / CSS content. Mozilla did not want to keep the PDF.js project to itself, and Opera Software took advantage of this option, so they simply wrapped the file in question.

Now the only question may be how Google gets into the picture. The answer is simple, Opera currently offers the PDF reader as an extension, which in turn is only available for the latest Chromium-based version of the browser.

In summary, this is the case: we can install a scanned version of Mozilla PDF.js in the Opera browser based on Chromium 28.0.1500.52. Interesting situation…
