Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) recently introduced its GeForce6100SM-M motherboard with integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6100 graphics controller, NVIDIA nForce 405 MCP and AMD AM2 processor socket.
The GeForce6100SM-M supports Socket AM2's AMD Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64, and Sempron CPUs, as well as AMD's latest power-saving processors. With DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.0, the nForce 405 MCP enables fast video rendering and editing, as well as better graphics performance. 2000 MB / s HyperTransport technology enables broadband communication between the video card, processor, and controller, allowing data and information to reach their destination faster, increasing system performance and parallel operation speed.
If you want to use more powerful video card (s), you also have two x16 and x1 speed (including x8 mode) PCI-Express slots and two PCI slots. The south bridge includes two SATA II 3 Gbps connectors with RAID 0, 1 layouts, two Ultra DMA133 / 100/66 devices, built-in 10/100 Ethernet, and eight USB 2.0 ports. Built-in HD Audio delivers high-quality surround sound, and the motherboard supports dual-channel DDR2-800 / 667/533 SDRAM memories up to 16GB.
