Computex: Kingston has introduced the HyperX SSD line
The manufacturer uses the SandForce controller in its latest blue wonders.
Kingston has expanded its SSD lineup with a family called HyperX. For now, we have two members with capacities of 120 and 240 GB, respectively. The 25nm MLC NAND Flash chips are controlled by the SandForce SF-2281 controller, resulting in sequential read and write speeds of 525 MB / s and 480 MB / s, respectively, while IOPS values of up to 95.000. The new 2,5-inch design measures exactly 69,85 × 100 × 9,5 mm, with 2 watts of power when active and less than half a watt when idle. The SATA III interface is responsible for communicating with the computer.
SSDs called Kingston HyperX will come on store shelves with a three-year warranty, but unfortunately prices are still obscure.
