Article recommendation: the newest members of the GeForce 7 family in the ring

Guru3D employees were once again among the first to have access to NVIDIA’s latest PCIe cards.

The following video cards were examined during the test:

• NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB
• NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT 256MB
• NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB

Opponents from the Canadian side:

• ATI Radeon X1600 XT 256 MB
• ATI Radeon X1800XL 256MB
• ATI Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB

The new GeForce cards were evaluated very positively after the tests performed. Interestingly, there are applications where the GeForce 7600 GT (nearly) performs the same as the Radeon X1800 XL, which is ranked higher in principle, but in most cases, the ATI card delivers much more convincing performance.
