CeBIT - Tyan supercomputers

Tyan unveiled an Intel Xeon-based and an AMD Opteron-based workstation at CeBIT.

The Tyan PSC, i.e. Personal Supercomputer, series has been expanded with two new members, which have very outstanding internal features. In the case of the T-540 DX, 10 AMD Opteron 2218HE processors and 5 x 4 GB of system memory perform the calculation tasks. The T-650 QX also has 10 Intel Xeon 5150 CPUs, but the total capacity of the system memory is "only" 6 GB.

The common features of the above computer configurations are 5 SATA 3Gb / s 80 GB hard drives and the NVIDIA Quadro FX1500 graphics controller.
