CeBIT 2011: here is the Phoenix II SSD series

G.Skill has used SandForce’s second generation controller for its new products.

G.Skill unveiled its latest SSD product line, Phoenix II, at CeBIT, where SandForce SF-2000 series controllers are used and hides 25nm NAND Flash chips. With the help of said controller, the reading speed can reach 550 MB / s, while in case of writing it changes to 500 MB / s. At the show, a 120GB model communicated with a Phenom II X3 system via a SATA 6 interface, with the AMD SB850 South Bridge also playing a role.

The manufacturer has revealed so much about pricing that the 120GB version will have a price tag of € 299.
