CeBIT 2009: Pretec has introduced special memory cards
Novelties of the SDXC and CF types have been revealed by Pretec.
A Secure Digital eXtended Capacity standard in January fenced line by the SD Association, and thanks to Pretec, the first SDXC-type memory card has already arrived. In principle, the new card format will allow the capacity of such media to reach 2 TB in the future, but Pretec's product does not show any of this yet, as it has only 32 GB of storage capacity. The file system of the memory card is exFAT, to which the data can flow at a maximum rate of 50 MB / s.
Pretec has already started production of the specimens, and a 64 GB version is planned, which could debut in the middle of this year.
At the end of February presented, Pretec marked 433X CompactFlash proved to be the fastest in the memory card category, with which neither SanDisk nor A-DATA products could compete. Yes, but Pretec shifted up one gear, resulting in the first 666 times is a CompactFlash card with a storage capacity of 64 GB and a data transfer rate of up to 100 MB / s.
Production of the samples will begin next month, and smaller-capacity models will also arrive, with a 4GB version opening the line.
