CeBIT 2008: GMC R-4 Bulldozer - innovative shock

Optical drive in a falling position on the Korean manufacturer's new computer case.

Not so long ago visited us the home of GMC’s K-1 Muse, which functions as a media center, clearly signaling that home entertainment is viewed a little differently by the manufacturer. Well, it seems that in no other way is the planning going in the usual course, an excellent example of which is the Bulldozer house on display at CeBIT.

One thing is for sure, it is difficult to take your eyes off the house, as each page holds new and new formal surprises. We can't add much to the front panel, if we had to describe it in one word, the adjective "amazing" would come to mind the most. And not because we can see the shapes of spaceships in sci-fi movies from 10-20 years ago, but rather because of the forward-falling optical drive. It's no joke, the upper part is not only a visual extra, the CD/DVD drive can only be installed in it. The door of the unit is held by two supports that appear to be hydraulic, which neatly open the panel hiding the drive when the plate is removed and inserted.

This is typically a solution to play with for minutes, because what a king it is already, and anyway, you can call acquaintances because they’ve certainly not seen one before. However, do not forget about the lower part, where a large fan - presumably 120 mm - draws air into the inside of the house, and even a small display can tell you the temperature inside the house. According to the picture, there are two air agitators on the mounting plate, the speed of which can be controlled, if we guess correctly. Both the roof and the right side can be called a surprise, but they are precisely because they no longer got here from the astonishing design.

So anyone can view the monster on CeBIT, we have no information on appearance and price.
