Vulnerability in iPhone

Apple has officially acknowledged that the iPhone mobile phone has a serious vulnerability.

The first information about the vulnerability of the iPhone was posted on the MacRumors forum, where one reader posted an interesting description of the possibility of the phone being hacked. The tutorial shows that in some cases, password protection for Apple devices is fairly easy to circumvent. If an attacker grabs such a phone, he can crack it in seconds and then do whatever he wants with the device.

According to the news, the vulnerability of iPhone can be exploited if the user assigns the Favorites function to the Home button. In this case, by using the Emergency button, pressing the Home button twice and pressing an arrow once, the phone gives free access to unauthorized persons, who can then access the data stored on the device, make calls, send SMS / MMS, etc.

Apple experts have confirmed the existence of the bug and are already working on fixes. Apple spokeswoman Jennifer Bowcock said, of course, the vulnerability would be fixed as soon as possible. However, it did not reveal the exact timing of the software updates, so all you know is that the fixes will be available in September.

Until the update is released, Bowcock has advised iPhone owners to follow the good advice posted on the forums to mitigate the risks. That is, assign a function other than Favorites to the Home button.
