The single EU mobile charger has been introduced

Production of a single mobile charger has begun, which has been accepted by almost all mobile manufacturers.

Back in 2009, the creation of a single mobile charger standard within the EU was raised, at which point 14 mobile phone manufacturers agreed to use a single connector. This connector became the microUSB.

The single EU mobile charger has been introduced

The charger for it was unveiled this week and production has already begun. Although several devices with microUSB chargers are already on sale, it is expected that by the end of the year, only the standard charger will be available in mobile phones on the market. Not to mention that the EU has left a loophole for manufacturers: It is not mandatory to equip the device with a microUSB connector, but they can add an adapter to charge the device with the standard connector. We hope that not many manufacturers will take advantage of this opportunity, as then the initiative would almost lose its meaning.
