Introducing the successor to the 173P monitor, the SyncMaster 173P plus

Samsung Electronics' latest 17 ”LCD monitor, the 173P plus, has a higher contrast ratio than ever before. The device will be available in Hungary from August.

The new model is the successor to the 173P monitor unveiled last year. The SyncMaster 173P, one of last year’s success products, has been recognized by the design profession with a series of prestigious grand prizes. Among others, iF Design, IDEA and Good Design found the Samsung monitor to be the best in its category. The 173P plus, now introduced, inherited the noble features of its predecessor. The harmony of the real aluminum sleeve and the sophisticated design - with the exception of the on / off button - is not broken by any control, since, like the first model, the settings of the 173P plus can be controlled via software called MagicTune.

Samsung has also equipped the monitor with MagicColor technology for a perfectly personalized color experience. The 173P plus is the world's highest contrast monitor, making your image visibly clearer and more vivid than other LCD monitors. 
Contrast ratio is the difference between the darkest and lightest points on the screen. The higher this value, the brighter, clearer the image of the monitor. While the average contrast ratio of 17 ”LCD monitors on the market is 400: 1 to 500: 1, the contrast ratio of the Samsung 173P plus is 1500: 1.
The 173P plus 8 millisecond response time makes the monitor ideal for displaying action-packed content such as computer games and DVD movies perfectly.
