Samsung has positioned its latest mobile phone at the entry level

The S3650 offers a touch-sensitive display at a low price point.

Samsung is already an old biker in the touchscreen mobile phone market, so it was expected that over time it would come up with more and more low-cost handsets that could use a large display as their primary input device. One such model is the S3650, which, due to its capabilities, has a good chance of competing for the favors of customers.

This time, the device received a 2,8-inch QVGA resolution display, which, of course, was optimized for finger control by Samsung engineers. Unfortunately, other features of the simple design of the device already show signs of saving, so the camera is only capable of taking 2 megapixel images, in exchange for which an FM tuner, Bluetooth radio and a socket capable of receiving microSD cards are included in the device. However, the lack of support for 3G networks may be a painful shortcoming, which in our opinion should be considered a serious negative in the case of a newly announced device, even if the main consideration was the best price / performance ratio when designing the given model.

Weighing only 92 grams, the S3650 can be placed on store shelves within days, at a purchase price of approximately HUF 54.
