The Nokia N9 has been announced
Nokia has officially unveiled its latest device, the N9.
As we reported yesterday, the long-awaited N9 was unveiled to the public at the Nokia event in Singapore. The novelty is the MeeGo 1.2 system, which is powered by the 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 OMAP3630 processor with 1 GB of memory. The right 3D speed is provided by the PowerVRSGX530 GPU.
The device has a 3,9-inch AMOLED display capable of displaying 854 × 480 pixels, which has been covered with Gorilla Glass. We can take our photos with the autofocus 8 Megapixel optics, which is assisted by an LED flash in the dark. Surprisingly, not the 8 Megapixel sensor found in the N12 came with the Xenon flash. Of course, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS are also included in the specification.
If you are interested in a more detailed specification, you can find it in the following PDF: http://press.nokia.com/wp-content/uploads/mediaplugin/doc/1-nokia-n9-data-sheet.pdf
For the time being, all you know is that the N9 may hit store shelves later this year, but there has been no talk of pricing.
