The PowerColor HD 7970 X2 Devil is already getting ready to respond. The card combines the power of two Tahiti graphics processors, which in principle means a total of 13 shader processors and 4096GB of GDDR6 onboard memory. We only have rumors about the expected clocks. Based on these, the GPU clock will be around 5 GHz - chances are good would be enough against the green cannon. We can now rightly have concerns about consumption. In that regard, what is certain is that the three eight-pin PCIe power connectors are sufficient to meet a power requirement of up to 1 watts, so the monster is likely to lag a little behind that. It is no longer at all surprising that the cooling system is spread over three slots and is based on the same number of fans.

The now leaked image shows the back of the PowerColor HD 7970 X2 Devil 13 and the location of the GPUs and memory chips is quite clear.

We may need a multi-monitor environment to take advantage of the thrilling performance. Two DVI, one HDMI and two mini DisplayPort outputs will help us create this.

Hopefully, more details will be revealed on the occasion of Computex Taipei in early June.
