Are we in the year of smartphones?
Market researcher IDC says more smartphones are running out this year than traditional ones. The difference will not be significant in 2013, with smartphones accounting for 50,1 percent of global traffic. China (here too) is moving forward by seven miles: 301,2 million phones are projected to be hosted here this year, compared to “only” 137,5 million in the United States. The line continues with 35,5 and 35,2 million in the UK and Japan. In the longer term, Indian and Brazilian buyers are expected to pull in in 5 years.
