OCZ and Corsair are straining again

If the two manufacturers no longer have each other in terms of clock speed and size, they will try to bring a battle to the field with better timings.

OCZ has announced its new memory, which has better timing values than the competitor’s Corsair module. The series will be available in two versions, one for the PC-3200 Platinum 1GB XTC and the other for the PC-3200 Platinum Revision 2 XTC.

The first version includes two 1024 MB modules with 2-3-2-5 timings, while the Corsair XMS-3500LL PRO is “only” capable of 2-3-2-6, but it is also only a few weaker hair at OCZ.

The other package includes two 512MB modules that are already running at the magical 2-2-2-5 factory timing, Corsair has the answer with the TWINX1024 3200XLPRO, which includes two CMX512-3200XLPRO memories also with timing values of 2-2-2-5.

The newly announced OCZ memories will also feature the company's rather attractive heatsink, which also guarantees good heat dissipation, but is only present as a visual element.

So the competition is very tight, the success of one or another manufacturer really depends only on small things, and of course which customer swears by what.
