NVIDIA introduced GPU-controlled 720p flash HD video

A new version of Adobe Flash Player will be available with GPGPU support, the benefits of which have been demonstrated by NVIDIA.

NVIDIA has recently paid close attention to demonstrating the next generation of Adobe Flash Player for the simple reason that the latest Flash Player will be able to use GPGPU technology. The video presents a 720p flash-based HD video calculated by the GPU. The operation was performed on an ION-based netbook on which a 720p Star Trek preview ran.

On the first system of the test, the film was unseen, but on the second, there was perfectly smooth and enjoyable playback. Of course, it doesn’t matter at all that since they tried it, the thing works the same way for any other material. What was the difference between the two systems? Of course, the second netbook used the new Adobe Flash Player.
