NVIDIA has introduced the GeForce GT 530 and GT 545Greens want to sell new products exclusively in the OEM market.

NVIDIA also officially unveiled the GeForce GT 530 and GeForce GT 545 video cards yesterday, which will be available exclusively in the OEM department. There will be two versions of the GeForce GT 545, one DDR3 and one GDDR5, so they can actually be considered as three cards. Let’s look at the GeForce GT 530 first. Manufactured at 40 nm, this GF118 graphics processor works with 96 CUDA cores, 16 texturing units and 4 ROP units. The GPU has a clock speed of 700 MHz, while the shader frequency is 1.400 MHz. 1 GB or 2 GB of on-board memory can only be DDR3 standard and can have an effective clock speed of up to 1.796 MHz. The memory bus has a width of 128 bits and a bandwidth of 28,8 GB / s. This product is also characterized by the fact that its low-profile design means a maximum power consumption of 50 watts, so it does not require more serious cooling or a separate PCI-E power connector. Video outputs include a D-Sub (VGA), a DVI, and an HDMI.

The GeForce GT 545 - as mentioned above - will be available in two types of packaging, where only the type of on-board memory and the clocks will be the difference factors. A common feature, however, is that the GF116 graphics processor is deployed, which is also made at 40 nm and contains 144 CUDA cores. For the DDR3 version, the GPU / Shader clock signals are set to 720 and 1.440 MHz, respectively. The amount of memory can be 1,5 GB or 3 GB, which is already connected to the GPU via a 192-bit data bus and ticks at 1.800 MHz. The memory bandwidth here represents 43 GB / s. Consumption has risen to 70 watts, so a PCI-E connector is still not needed, and single-slot cooling is sufficient. On the back, there is also a D-Sub (VGA), a DVI and an HDMI.

The GDDR545 version of the GeForce GT 5 differs from the previous model in several respects. 5 GB of GDDR1 memory chips are available here, operating at 3.996 MHz, GPU / Shader frequencies operating at 870 / 1.740 MHz. It is very interesting that the manufacturer has restrained the width of the memory bus here, as it is not 192 bits but 128 bits, which ultimately resulted in 64 GB / s bandwidth. Increased consumption also leads to higher heat production, so the company used a dual-slot cooler here. The maximum power consumption of the card is 105 watts, which also requires a six-pin PCI-E power connector for trouble-free operation. The range of connectors here consists of two DVI and one Mini-HDMI.
