LG has announced the nano LED backlit LW9800 HDTVs

LG’s success in 2011 is unquestionable, yet they don’t sit on their laurels, they also develop 3D and LED backlighting.

Many people complain about LCD technology and the so-called edge-LED lighting. In general, the accusation is usually uneven and strong color quality, so they are favored over to plasmas. They are (also) trying to lure them back with the manufacturer’s two devices unveiled in Korea. The 47- and 55-inch models receive Nano LED backlighting using a total of 2300 tiny light sources. This technology has a sharper picture and the television can become even narrower. HDTVs have 480 Hz image refresh and other LG features: Cinema 3D, Magic Motion remote control, SmartTV menu, WiFi module. The big novelty, on the other hand, is the 10: 000 contrast ratio, which is the highest of the manufacturer's devices and allows much darker blacks.
