ASUS has announced the TS Mini SOHO server
In terms of software Windwos Home Server, in terms of hardware Atom based.
ASUS pulled the veil off its SOHO small office / home office server, which uses Windows Home Server and was eventually named TS Mini at baptism. The machine can archive files on 10 systems per day. The small box measures 245 (W) × 96 (W) × 204 (W), weighs only 2,7 kg and has a power supply of 90 W. These features are made possible by the use of a 1,66 GHz Atom N280 CPU with 1 or 2 GB of RAM, a 500 GB or 1 TB HDD, or multiples thereof.
With the TS Mini, you can easily deliver photos, music, video, or other content to your TV, other PCs, or even consoles, control the machine remotely, and stay in touch with a gigabit Ethernet and 6 USB 2.0 modes. ASUS WHS products are now available in pre-order form, with the 500GB version costing $ 350 and the 2TB model costing $ 530.
