ASRock has unveiled its first Bearlake-based board

The camp of motherboards based on the Bearlake chipset is augmented by ASRock's product.

The technology base for the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 motherboard is a combination of the P31 north and ICH7R south bridges. Supported processors include all Intel CPUs with LGA775 enclosures - Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo, Pentium XE, Pentium D, Pentium Dual Core, Pentium 4, Celeron, Celeron D - in addition to the upcoming release for the motherboard in the near future. Adopting 45nm quad-core CPUs is no problem either, while system bus speeds can be 1333, 1066, 800, or 533 MHz, respectively.

Up to 4 GB of 800, 667 or 533 MHz modules can be inserted in the four memory slots. Of course, the well-used integrated devices were not left out either, so it is definitely worth mentioning the eight-channel Realtek ALC888 sound generating unit and the Realtek RTL8111B / RTL811C network controller.
