ATI: Radeon X1550 will be the X1300

Although initial rumors suggest that the X1550 would have been a completely new model, it is really just a renaming.

To this day, the Radeon X1300 is still extremely popular, which is far more marketable in the low-end video card market than similar products from NVIDIA. Encouraged by this, ATI is renaming the X1300 series and will soon be available under the name X1550 in the offerings of video card manufacturers, but the specifications will not change.

Thanks to the new type designation, video cards ending in "50" can now be found in all segments, starting from the entry-level X1050, through the low-end X1550 and mid-range X1650 to the high-end X1950.
