Asus Mars II: Several new images have arrivedMore photos of the famous manufacturer’s monster have emerged.

The Asus Mars II is a huge monster in the field of video cards. This is practically a brain-tuned GeForce GTX 590, meaning two full-fledged GF110 graphics processors work together on a single printed circuit board. In this model, only the maximum performance as well as the above-average tuning tendency and construction are typical. If you look at this monster, you may already notice that it will not be a cheap product at all, and it is, because the manufacturer will produce a total of 1.000 pieces of it and have to ring $ 1.000 for each piece.

The output is absolutely maximalist, as in addition to the clock signals being thoroughly upgraded (772 / 1.544 / 4.000 MHz), the amount of on-board GDDR5 type memory chips has also doubled, so that a total of 3 GB is now available. The custom-designed PCB is powered by 20 phases, plus the so-called “Super Alloy” components. It can already be seen from this that this is not exactly an energy saving model. This fact is evidenced by the three 8-pin PCI-E connectors. Such consumption also results in significant heat production. Proper cooling is provided by a two-fan solution that also has prestigious dimensions. There is a button on the card that, when pressed, the two air agitators will spin at 100% rotation at a constant rate.

On the back, the video outputs have two DVIs, an HDMI and a DisplayPort. The Asus Mars II is scheduled to hit the market in July with the $ 1.000 price tag mentioned earlier. Images in higher resolution on this page can be viewed.
