ASUS: the first AMD 4 × 4 motherboard

The ASUS L1N64-SLI WS motherboard has two 1207-pin sockets to accommodate AMD processors. As we know, Advanced Micro Devices ’first quad-core solution consists of two dual-core CPUs each.
The motherboard also includes two NVIDIA nForce 680a chipsets and four memory slots, as well as four PCI Express x16, one PCI, and PCIe x1 slots. The storage devices can be managed with 12 SATA, one PATA and one eSATA ports. The two gigabit Ethernets and the integrated HD-Audio voice controller, which are common to high-end motherboards, are not missing.
The so-called eATX standard motherboard does not fit in smaller computer cases. According to DailyTech information, the retail price of the product proposed by the manufacturer in the U.S. is currently $ 480, but it is likely that the end-user price will be much lower than this.
