ASUS motherboard is the world's first Windows 8.1 WHQL certified

ASUS is the first manufacturer to receive Windows 8.1 WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certification for its Intel® Z87 chipset motherboard - the Z4-C, which is capable of receiving 87th generation Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron processors.

The ASUS Z87-C is a Socket 1150 ATX motherboard for 4th generation Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron processors. With WHQL certification, Microsoft confirms that both the hardware and its drivers are fully compatible with Windows 8.1.

ASUS is an important partner of Microsoft and widely supports the use of Windows 8.1 with Intel and AMD processor motherboards. A later date is expected to announce the acquisition of WHQL certification for several other models.
