In April, there were 2,110 million fixed broadband Internet subscriptions in Hungary

In the month under review, the number of subscribers to the xDSL broadband Internet service on the traditional telephone line was 792 thousand. The subscriptions of the largest cable operators included in the quick report increased to 835 thousand in April.

Overall, in April 2012, the estimated number of fixed broadband Internet subscriptions from data providers for the total market was 2,110 million.

In the case of broadband Internet access, Magyar Telekom is the market leader in terms of the total (estimated) market, taking into account all fixed line technologies, with a market share of 34,8 per cent, UPC second, market share 20,6 per cent, and third in line. Digi with a 13,0 percent stake. This is followed by the combined share of hundreds of smaller service providers, which is 12,2 percent, followed by Invitel with 10,0 percent.

Within the total number of voice channels, based on the data received, the number of traditional landline telephone lines was 2,036 million in the month (2,050 million in the previous month) and the number of voice channels on the cable television network was 510 thousand (496 thousand in the previous month). The number of IP-based voice channels increased to 386 thousand from 379 thousand in the previous month. The total value of voice channels for the entire market was estimated at 2,992 million at the end of April 2012.

In the case of fixed voice services, based on the total (estimated) market, Magyar Telekom has the largest market share, which is 60,9 percent. In second place is Invitel with 13,4 percent, followed by UPC with 11,1 percent, followed by Digi with 8,4 percent.

In April, the number of fixed voice channels per 29,46 inhabitants was 61,21, and the number of fixed telephone households in households was 335 percent. Subscribers made 112 million minutes on a traditional telephone line and 152 million minutes on an IP basis. In the study month, the average duration of calls made per trunk was XNUMX minutes.

According to the data of April 2012, the subscribers have carried a total of 2004 thousand numbers since April 667 in the framework of number portability facilitating the change of service provider.
