HP launches AMOLED mobile phone

Hewlett-Packard, a veteran of the smartphone market, has lost much of its former popularity to the present day, but there are indications that the manufacturer still does not want to break with the well-established iPAQ brand.

At least this is indicated by the appearance of the device currently known as "iPAQ K3 Obsidian", which wants to compete in the market of mobile phones with a full-fledged keyboard. The heart of the device, which is most similar to BlackBerry models, is a processor running at 528 Mhz, the exact type of which we cannot provide concrete information for now. The work of the central unit is supported by 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, which combination will be more than enough to run applications that will appear in the near future. The equipment also includes a 3,2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios, GPS receiver, micro-USB port, and a socket compatible with microSD cards, so we can be satisfied with the knowledge set of the device beyond dispute. The same can be said about the display: this time the display takes the form of a 2,46-inch panel with QVGA resolution, which, in addition to its touch-sensitive design, also excels in terms of consumption, thanks to the AMOLED technology used.
