AMD R700 at 55 nanometers

According to FudZilla, AMD's next graphics core will already be made with a bandwidth of 55 nanometers.

Not even a week has passed since the premiere of the HD 2xxx family, and the FudZilla news portal, famous for its interesting news, already has a thing or two to know about the next R700 GPU.

The first such information relates to manufacturing technology, according to which the R2008, planned for the first half of 700, would already be made at 55 nm. The last two transitions - 90 nm and 80 nm - didn’t work out anything bright for ATI and then AMD, hopefully 55 nm won’t be a problem. According to the other news, the kernel will get a kind of Multi Core Unified Architecture, in other words, it could be something like GPUs consisting of different numbers of kernels for different categories will be built on the cards.

Great hard, but it arrived

According to current schedules, we can already see an R2008 card in the first half of 700. The other question is how the slip of the R600 will affect the development of the next generation.
