AMD Mobility Radeon HD 500V recharged?

The hardware is the same, only the name is new. Familiar? It seems that the competing manufacturers do not only learn the "good" from each other.

AMD's "latest" ATI Mobility Radeon HD 500v series includes 55 nm graphics processors known from the Radeon HD 4000 series. Among these, several models have already appeared on AMD's website:

ATI Mobility Radeon ™ HD 560v series
ATI Mobility Radeon ™ HD 540v series
ATI Mobility Radeon ™ HD 530v series

The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 560V is virtually based on the RV730 chip and can therefore be considered a renamed Mobility Radeon HD 4670. You might already be guessed that the Mobility Radeon HD 540V / 530V is not based on a newcomer, but on the well-known RV710. This GPU has already been used with the HD 4500 and 4300 card families. The story is not over at this point, the Mobility HD 550V 1GB has also come to light on the Dell side. The exact specifications are still covered by a benevolent ambiguity, but it is not worth expecting a huge novelty here either.
