Low-end Biostar motherboard for Core 2 Duo processors

The Biostar P4M890-M7 motherboard is an updated version of the predecessor model (P4M890) introduced in February.

An important new feature over the previous release is the support for the Vista Aero Glass interface. In contrast, the chipset remained unchanged, so the motherboard features the already well-known VIA P4M890 north and VT8237R + south bridge.

In addition to the Core 2 Duo processors, of course, it also supports Intel's previous CPUs, be it Pentium 4, Pentium D or even Celeron D. The micro-ATX motherboard has a VIA Unichrome Pro integrated graphics controller, but it's a piece of PCI Express x16 socket also allows the use of higher performance video cards.

The memory slots can hold DDR4 modules operating at 533 and 400 MHz, up to a maximum of 2 gigabytes. The sound is provided by a six-channel Realtek ALC658 AC'97 sound controller. The price of the product and the beginning of its launch are not yet known.
