All-in-One computer from Medion

The field of machines built into the monitor isn’t exactly famous for its unrestricted performance, but Medion is raising the stakes and launching a novelty in the image of the Touch that outperforms its competitors in every way.

The performance of the 24-inch Full HD touch-sensitive display configuration is not to be criticized, as the CPU this time takes the form of an Intel Core2 Quad Q9000 processor; the buffalo-powered CPU is powered by no less than 4GB of system memory. Medion's engineers didn't skimp on the graphics subsystem either, as they voted for the NVIDIA GeForce GT240M instead of one of the generally accepted integrated solutions in the category: a GPU boasting high performance with around 1GB of GDDR3 memory. displaying high-resolution textures should not be a problem for the device either.

The equipment also includes a 1 TB hard drive and a Blu-ray optical drive, but the real special feature of the configuration is not these, but the additional features. The most striking of the latter is the 3,5-inch display on the bottom of the machine, which has a touch-sensitive design: the display helps control the playback of multimedia content stored on the machine, as is the adjacent touch-sensitive row of buttons. Of course, the panel can also be used as a digital picture frame, or it is possible that the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system installed on the machine can also treat it as a secondary display.

We can't go without talking about the other capabilities of the Touch either, as the Dolby Home Theater V3-compliant sound system, 2-megapixel webcam, fingerprint reader, digital TV tuner, gigabit network controller, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth The combination of radios and various connectors (USB, HDMI, S / PDIF, eSATA, Express Card, VGA in / out, SCART) undoubtedly advances Medion's novelty into a unique product.

The manufacturer has not yet announced the market entry date of the novelty, which includes a "touchpad" with a wireless keyboard and a remote control, as well as the expected purchase price of the set. It can be guessed about the latter that it will soar very high, just like the knowledge set of the machine: according to the rumors, the price tag may be up to 2000 British pounds, which corresponds to approximately HUF 625.
