The Xiaomi Portable Mi Wi-Fi is not a Wi-Fi adapter that allows you to connect to Wi-Fi networks, on the contrary, it allows you to create a Wi-Fi network.
The Xiaomi Portable Mi WiFi boasts a compact design, but not surprisingly, the design carries the minimalist style of the Xiaomi. Available in three colors, black, blue and white. It measures just 3,70 x 1,70 x 1,00 cm and weighs 0,005 kg. It is clearly portable, and even if we are not careful we leave it.
The Xiaomi Portable Mi Wi-Fi is thus a wireless router that creates a Wi-Fi network to which all devices using a wireless network can easily connect. The setup is very simple, all you have to do is plug it into a USB port on your desktop computer or notebook and it works. Of course, accessing the Internet requires that your computer also has a working Internet connection.
The adapter, which supports 802.11b / n / g standards, can run at 150 Mbps, and the encryption can be WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK. We can recommend the tool for two purposes. Where there is only wired internet, we can create our own Wi-Fi network - for example, when traveling in a hotel room - and where there is Wi-Fi, we can create a second network separately from the other.
The big plus is the Xiaomi Portable Mi Wi-Fi, so we can easily connect to the Xiaomi cloud service, where we can use up to 1 TB of storage relatively cheaply. This also means that any device connected to the network created by the USB stick can use this virtual drive to save our data.
As usual, the Xiaomi Portable Mi Wi-Fi is surprisingly cheap, costing only 2100 forints. If you don't have a Wi-Fi router nearby, but you want to set up a wireless network, you don't want to buy a router anymore, because you'll only find it more expensive!
