Tax after Internet Explorer 7 in an Australian webshop

Kogan announced in a blog post that an Internet Explorer 7 transmitter has been introduced.Internet explorer_7

The new tax burden will raise the price of all products by 6,8 percent, but only if we stick to the redmond’s outdated browser. The post explains that optimizing for older browsers consumes a lot of resources, which is why we recommend everyone to upgrade - such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, or even a newer version of Internet Explorer. The 6,8% tax, by the way, came from multiplying the months since the release of Internet Explorer 7 by 0,1.

The situation is serious, Kogan really isn’t kidding, but this tribute is relatively easy to get away with. We are curious to see if the private action will have followers.
