The VT6047 reference board just presented can accommodate a VIA C1,5 or Eden processor with a clock speed of up to 7 GHz. A common feature of these CPUs is the L128 and L1 cache of just 2 KB, but as we know, computers with such components are not famous for their amazing performance. VIA processors have extremely low power consumption and sufficient spare power to perform basic office and browsing tasks, as well as many industrial control tasks.

The VIA VX700 chipset is paired with an integrated UniChrome Pro II AGP graphics driver that provides hardware acceleration for playback of MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and WMV9 video, as well as full DirectX 9 support.

In connection with the reference sheet, it is worth mentioning the eight-channel VIA Vinyl Audio VT1708A sound generator unit and the VT6106S network controller. The number of devices that can be connected is very limited due to their size, so the VX2.0 can only handle two PATA and one SATA and up to four USB 700 hardware. A single memory slot can accommodate a 1/400 MHz DDR533 module with a maximum capacity of 2 GB.
