ThiEYE is attacking market leaders with its new drone

We love the manufacturer’s sports cameras, why not love their drones too?

Lately, we often come across two drone names at the entry level, DJI Ryze Tello and Xiaomi MITU. These propeller structures are also aimed at beginners and the younger age group with their goods and knowledge. They know basically everything the big ones do, albeit a little silly, because, for example, they still get a barometer so that there is no problem with altitude keeping. GPS no longer fits in with the price of either. They put a camera in them, though usually fixed solutions, plus not very steel resolution. As they are intended for beginners or young people, the flight distance is not large, there is a good chance that they can be steered to 50-100 meters and a maximum height of 10-20 meters.

After DJI and Xiaomi, now ThiEYE is also entering the competition in this pop-up category, and what can’t I say, it’s giving up the lesson for the big ones, at least in the field of cameras anyway. The camera has an 8 megapixel stabilized camera that can be used to capture full HD videos. The competition can only show 2- or 5 megapixels, although in addition to the 5 megapixels of the DJI, we also get vibration damping.

It can be said to be average in other parameters of the machine. The built-in battery has a capacity of 600 mAh, allowing the aircraft to fly for 8 minutes on a single charge. During the flight, the distance from us or the remote control can be 50 meters, and the maximum altitude can be 20 meters. Recordings can be made on a Class 32 card with a maximum speed of 10 GB. In flight, of course, we see a live image on our phone, the drone is able to transmit what it sees in 720p resolution. In safe and stable flight, the drone is assisted by the barometer in altitude, the optical sensor in position maintenance and the 6-way gyroscope in stable flight.

We don’t know at the moment what the end-user price of ThiEYE Dr.X will be, but we do know that with the introductory campaign, they will roast well against the competition. Instead of the usual $ 80-100 purchase price, they only ask for $ 60 for the machine, which to your knowledge makes it a really good buy.
