Sony Ericsson introduces the Aspen WinMo 6.5.3 mobile phone
Sony Ericsson, the mobile company, has announced that the first device to use Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 will be the business-designed Aspen.
The new “candybar” mobile shown below measures 117 × 60 × 12,45 mm and weighs 130 grams. The phone comes in black and silver with a 2,4 ”240 × 320 pixel TFT display and QWERTY keyboard. Its 3,2 megapixel camera is capable of quadruple digital zoom, its memory can be expanded up to 4 GB with the help of the included microSD card (of course it can also handle a larger one), and there is also a GPS and USB port available. Business phones today can’t miss WIFI and Bluetooth either, so Aspen isn’t making that mistake either.
Quentin Cordier of Global Markeging said of the device: “The Sony Ericsson Aspen is a business product that is the perfect choice for any individual or even a company who likes to‘ green ’their devices in everyday life. The Aspen is an affordable “Green Heart” mobile, equipped with the latest version of Windows Phone, a pleasing user interface and office features. But it's not just for work, it's close to entertainment, social networking and, of course, fast and easy media management. ”
The Aspen Quad-band can operate on GSM (850/900/1800/1900) and UMTS 850/900/2100 networks. Distribution abroad will start in Q2, ie in the second quarter, and we do not yet have information on the expected price and domestic availability.
