Sharp leads the LCD TV market

At least in Japan.

The GfK market research institute, browsing the sales data of about 4500 stores, created the statistical indicator for 2007 according to which manufacturers' LCD TVs are the best-selling in Japan.

Based on the pie chart, Sharp's dominance is clear, however, the survey is a bit deceptive for two reasons: on the one hand, Panasonic prefers plasma TVs (PDP TVs), so the company's LCD TV sales are negligible, and on the other hand, big brands like LG and Samsung, does not sell televisions in Japan.
