Sennheiser mobile earphones already have the X-factor

Perhaps it is no exaggeration to say that the well-known manufacturer’s Bluetooth headsets have been among the world’s elite so far, while members of the Mobile Music series have undergone further development, as indicated by X at the end of their name.

The new MM 450-X and MM 550-X use the latest Apt-X technology for better sound and premium delivery. The 450-X shown in our top image is the smaller model, it doesn’t encircle the ear, giving it a slightly different sound and feel than the 550-X, under which our auditory organ disappears completely. The aforementioned Apt-X not only provides better music sound, but also wireless communication. The former is due to the four times higher bitrate compression - faster data transfer than Bluetooth - resulting in a fuller and wider range of audio spectrum. The two models are also recommended for those who want to walk away from outside noise, with Noise Guard 2.0 providing adequate support for this, as it can filter out about 90% of street noise. The feature that produces clearer call quality has also been named Sennheiser, which is TalkThrough. Since these are earbuds made for travel, they will of course become lighter and we can also fold them together.

Sennheiser headsets are also compatible with other Apt-X mobile devices and Mac OS X Lion. If your device or PC does not support this data transfer format, the system automatically switches to Bluetooth and the sound quality that comes with it. What’s more, if you’re traveling on a plane we don’t even have to panic, just take out the included cable and we won’t interfere with the signals. The flagship of the series, the MM 550-X, stands out from its peers with SRS WOW HD technology, which makes the gadget produce even stronger bass and better treble.

Both headsets arrive in March, with the standard two-year international Sennheiser warranty.
