There is also no problem with the batteries being replaced completely free of charge, but the cost of the recall is, oddly enough, shared with Lenovo. Sanyo argues that because the units prone to overheating did not cause personal injury, serious injury, or fire, the entire action was initiated by Lenovo.

So Sanyo admits his guilt, but still the company’s executives think this whole duke would have been ignored: to put it bluntly, we could say that Sanyo would have silenced, postponed this problem rather than remedied it as soon as possible. .

In contrast, Sony had to bear the total cost of recalling more than 10 million faulty batteries, which exceeded US $ 444 million, leaving notebook manufacturers with only a small portion of the replacement costs.

Of course, the two cases are different: the Sanyo is a small-scale recall, and so far only Lenovo has been affected, while Sony has put almost all of its partners in a very awkward position, laptop batteries have caught fire, but at least the related expenditures were correct, while Sanyo was not.
