Prices for memory modules will increase from the second half of June

In our previous news we mentioned that DRAM manufacturers will certainly not reduce the price of their products any time soon, now it turns out that the situation is much worse: they increase production and prices. Now everyone can decide to buy memory now or wait with it until the end of summer.

It is reported that the price of 256MB PC3200 DDR SDRAMs from Taiwanese factories will be standardized and production will be increased in line with the needs of international memory manufacturers and traders. Taiwanese manufacturers feel significant in setting globally standardized prices, so only a 1-3 percent price increase would materialize, in contrast, they tend to sell at lower prices than other international manufacturers.
Memory prices have dropped nearly forty percent since the beginning of the year, and the recent price increase won’t be more than $ 0,3 to $ 0,5, so we still don’t really have to worry. This is approx. It can result in a price increase of 500-1800 forints, the jump in goods according to DRAMeXchange does not go above 22 dollars.
