HP was named “CareerStart Top Company 2011”

Aon Hewitt and AIESEC, together with Figyelő and Profession.hu, launched the New Employer Brand Research at the end of 2010 with the aim of compiling a list of employers that are the best choice for a career starter.

The aim of the research was to map the opinions of university and college students, as well as beginners and those with several years of work experience, about the labor market. The questionnaires were completed by 33 people, including 8 graduates who evaluated more than 230 companies. They provided an accurate picture of companies ’visibility, attractiveness and distinctive features, their competitors in the labor market, as well as their competitive advantages and unique features. Based on the results, two top lists were made. One lists the companies that graduates find most attractive, and the other, the “CareerStart Top Companies” list, ranked companies in the eight most popular areas, including IT.

In addition to the attractiveness of pay, the winning companies on the list differ most from their peers in terms of reputation and success. In the selection aspects of the latest generation of graduates, the balance of professional development, teamwork and lifestyle comes to the fore. Among career choices, the value of a company’s brand remains a clear pull.

"A HP is the world’s leading IT company, thus offering a wide range of career and learning opportunities for its employees. It is important that young, new colleagues bring new ideas to the company. This ensures that you can work successfully later in an HP-enabled work environment open to creativity and new ideas. At HP, we focus on career starters, as evidenced by the fact that they are dealt with by a recent graduate who is well acquainted with their problems. Our experience shows that providing flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home is also an increasing attraction for employees, ”said Krisztina Kovács, Head of Human Resource Management at Hewlett-Packard Hungary.
