According to GIGABYTE, the time has come for 128 GB of RAM
The company’s Z390 and C246 motherboards have already been prepared for this relentless capacity, and with the upcoming BIOS updates, other 300 Series boards are on the way.
The 128 GB capacity is available with four modules, which assumes a size of 32 GB per module. Obviously, this has already happened on workstations and on the HEDT line (Intel X299, AMD X399, etc.), while the Z390 is a prominent representative of MSDT, the mid-range platform, where it is still new.
Of course, GIGABYTE recommends this for users who run memory-intensive tasks. It is worth noting that we are not dealing with a single development, as MSI has been around for approx. announced two weeks ago that with the Z390 boards, they too are ready for 128GB of system memory.
