Fujitsu Siemens Computers Ltd. continues to grow

"Fujitsu Siemens Computers Kft. increased its sales volume by 20 percent and its sales revenue by 10 percent in the recently concluded financial half compared to the same period last year," announced Managing Director Gábor Poros, who emphasized that in six months the company had a total of more sold more than 30 computing devices.

In the first financial half of 2005-2006, double-digit sales growth somewhat offset the effects of the segment's general price erosion on revenues. This year, the domestic company of Europe's largest IT manufacturer further strengthened its second position in the Hungarian IT market.

The development of the Hungarian market is indicated by the fact that the indicators of the domestic company are very similar to the data of the parent company. Fujitsu Siemens Computers sold 21 percent more assets between April and early October this year, increasing sales by 12 percent to 2,87 billion euros. Profit before tax increased by 33 percent to 27 million euros compared to the previous half-year. Founded six years ago, the European IT development and manufacturing company continued to aim for profitable growth in the next period. To achieve this goal, it focuses primarily on the countries of Central Europe, and similarly, the Middle East and South Africa are at the crossroads. All this enables the Hungarian company to further increase its turnover and headcount.

Gábor Poros said that the company's market share in Hungary exceeded 10,6 percent in all segments this year, which is 2,5 percent higher than in the same period last year. The turnover of mobile devices increased the most, the largest recording market in this period was provided by Hungarian small and medium-sized companies.

Demand for consumer notebooks has been gradually increasing since the beginning of the year. With 5200 laptops sold in the third quarter, Fujitsu Siemens Computers Kft. Already dominated 53,5 percent of the market, which corresponds to an increase in market share of almost 8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. There was also an increase in traffic in the area of the company's professional notebooks. In the consumer desktop workstations segment, Fujitsu Siemens Computers Ltd. leads the sales list with a 12,9 percent share, up 11 percent from the same period last year. The company’s sales in the professional desktop category grew less than this, but its share still exceeds 10 percent. There has been a significant increase in server traffic, with a market share of 5,2 percent.

Gábor Poros justified the success of the Hungarian company with its extremely rich and flexible product range, and especially praised the company's success in the mobile equipment market. Flexible enterprise solutions, such as FlexFrame technology developed for SAP, are increasingly emphasized in the company's strategy. And the solution for dynamic data centers developed for Oracle applications has been announced by the company in recent days. Fujitsu Siemens Computers continues to place great emphasis on mobility and IT infrastructure for business-critical applications, with a strong focus on environmentally friendly manufacturing and user solutions.
The objective of Fujitsu Siemens Computers Kft. increase growth in all product groups in the second half of the financial year. It offers flexible, secure and cost-effective solutions primarily for enterprise users. At the same time, it is open to multimedia and consumer electronics applications.
