Fractal Design and Thermaltake have announced “Haswell-Ready” power supplies
We haven’t reported it yet, but fourth-generation Core processors have introduced a new sleep state (C6 and C7 levels) that poses unprecedented challenges to power supplies. When Haswell CPUs reach the highest level of power savings, the + 12V power supply is barely loaded with 0,05 amps. Unfortunately, this can cause system crashes or, in the worst case, failures of power supplies that are not prepared for this. The thing can be eliminated, the new sleep state can be disabled in the BIOS, but of course we lose that ability.
The images above show the Fractal Design and Thermaltake power supplies that handle the 0,05 amp load without any problems, so they can be used with Haswell processors. I would add so much to the list that the Fractal Design Integra R2 series solutions have only proven compatibility in principle.
