Corsair 8 and 16 gigabyte DDR3 memory expansion packs for Apple machines
Corsair has announced 8 and 16 gigabyte DDR3 memory modules for Apple desktop and laptop systems, respectively.
Macs traditionally have 2 memory slots, maximizing system memory size to 8 gigabytes. So the only way to push this upper limit is to increase the capacity of the individual modules. So now we have 10, 12 or even 16 gigabytes of system memory.
Corsair units work perfectly with most MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini systems shipped in 2011 based on Apple tests.
With this extension, it is intended to benefit users who do high-graphics work, IT professionals who run Windows on their laptop at the same time as Mac OS X, or who want to use their Mac as a web server or web host.
The new DDR3 Mac memory packs will be available worldwide from January 2012 as a result of Corsair’s work. Click for more information to the link below.
