The entry level is targeted by the Kingston A1000 NVMe PCIe SSD
Kingston Digital announced in a press release that their A1000 PCIe NVMe SSD series would be available within days.
M.2 drives are located in the lower corner of their category, yet they are capable of two to three times faster tempo than their SATA interface counterparts. Due to the one-sided construction of the A1000, it can be an ideal choice in an environment where we can manage little space. The PCIe NVMe data storage uses a Gen 3.0 x2 interface, with the 4-channel Phison 5008 acting as the controller.

Tony Hollingsbee, who manages Kingston SSD products in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), stressed that the A1000 offers the benefits of a PCIe interface at the price of SATA. We announced this because the press release does not mention exact prices, so we can only start from that.
