The new Xiaomi notebook got a great SSD and a nice price
The predecessor model was introduced last year, now it’s time to wrinkle it up.
The Xiaomi Mi Ruby notebook was positioned by the manufacturer under the Notebook Pro, which then showed two major differences. One is that the machine does not include an 256 GB SSD but an 128 GB-SSD and an 1TB traditional hard drive. The other difference was the video card which was NVIDIA MX150 instead of NVIDIA MX110.
The wreckage affected the mass storage and the memory. The thing is understandable, the prices of solid-state stoppers are slowly falling under the frog's ass, so it makes less and less sense to install traditional hard drives. This is true for notebooks, as mass storage without moving parts is not only quicker than conventional HDDs, but consumes much less.
The 1 TB hard drive was left out of the new machine, but the 128 GB SSD was replaced with an 512 GB. Another joyful change is that the memory capacity is now 8 GB, but the latter can even be expanded to 16 GB. The Intel 8 is in the new machine. generation Core i5 processor, the ultra low power 8250U. The display continues with FHD and 15,6 inches and the NVIDIA MX110 video controller remains.
The manufacturer recommends the machine for office and home work as well as for gaming, but we would place the game in brackets because the GPU is not very steel. But it will be perfect for other tasks. Intel's processor is strong enough, the 8 GB memory is not enough, but if you upgrade to 16 you will really have everything. All the data on the 512 GB SSD mass storage will be available, and speed will be infamous, so it will be ticked. This machine will not only suffice for text editing, but it will not be crossed by a bit of Photoshop, but it may even be a video cut.
