In July, the new operating system pushed WinXP back to second place.
A hardware analysis of the Steam system was also conducted in July, where it was found that the most common operating system among Steam users is the 7-bit version of Windows 64 with a 30,32% share. This is followed with a minimum lag of 32-bit Windows XP by 30,17%. However, the gap between second and third place is already much wider, with bronze-medal 32-bit Vista reaching 13,92%.
In the field of video cards, the Radeon 4800 series was the most popular. Interestingly, the Evergreen series, which produced fantastic sales, didn’t do anything too well in the survey, as they “only” managed to pinch 7th and 8th place.
