The Nokia PureView 41 comes with 808 megapixel optics
Nokia has officially announced the PureView 8, the successor to the N808, which engineers have equipped with a 41-megapixel camera.
We’ve heard rumors of a successor to the Nokia N8 in the past, but the Finns have now officially announced the successor, which has received a camera of no less than 41 megapixels. The sensor will allow you to take photos with a resolution of up to 7728 × 5368, but the main meaning of the many megapixels is that you can zoom in using a lower resolution as if you were using optical zoom.
Engineers dreamed of a 1,3 GHz ticking CPU and 512 MB of RAM for the device running Symbian Belle. The captured photos can be viewed on the 4-inch, 640 × 360 resolution AMOLED display. The Nokia 808 will be available on store shelves in May for a net price of 450 euros (approximately 130 forints).
