3D camera from Sony with 1 lens

For the time being, it is not expected that we will be able to watch sports broadcasts in 3D in Hungary, but to the west of us, in the USA, this service will soon be available.

While our news isn’t closely related to computing, as boundaries melt, computing is increasingly blurring the field of multimedia and other consumer electronics gadgets.

3D camera from Sony with 1 lens

The great novelty of Sony's camera is that, unlike previous solutions, it solves 3D shots with one lens instead of two. It is perhaps clear to everyone that in order to get a three-dimensional image, two shots must be taken in sync, but the lenses, like our eyes, need to be shifted apart. Sony's new feature is a self-developed mirror system that can deliver images shifted to two image sensors via a lens. This development obviously doesn’t meet the needs of home video, as evidenced by the camera’s ability to capture images at 240 FPS. However, as usual, new developments will become available to a wider audience in a few years. Is the 3D revolution really approaching? We would just need to forget the damn extra glasses.
